Lin could still smell fresh blood in the area. She didn't have to read the news to know what was going on all over the place. Being close to a city or even in nature it all told her the same thing. Two Princes were dead and her Prince was the only one living. She had to get him home safely inform him or why if he had not read the news himself. She's had a nice little visit to the capital city and nothing there was making her any better. Commander Boone was sending out a party and he'd be leading it she was sure when he got the chance. He had things he wanted to check out in the capital still. Lin had done some of her own digging around and she wasn't liking where all her thoughts were leading her. She hoped it wasn't true but somewhere deep down she knew it was and it would not bode well with the young Prince.
She moved around Sractel Nao as if she'd been living there all her life. Most people did not venture into this region because of the rumors about deadly dragons and other such creatures that weren't exactly myth but not many had seen. Rumor had it that the second son had been killed out here by a dragon. A dragon could easily be framed for murder. It wasn't too hard to do. But those that did would met their end when the dragons realized what was going on and if people started hunting them for such things. She was in Sractel Nao trying to find the ones that had protected her when she was a small child. Dragons were very interesting creatures and they did move around alot more than people thought. Sure the guarded treasure but not in the ways many would think they did or for any reason other than to protect it.
Lin entered a cave that was rather large and walked towards the center. A baby dragon greeted her and she pet its head "Your far from you mother. Come lets go and get you back to her." The dragon nodded its head and made to speak in happy chatter to her. No one really seemed to understand Dragon dialect but she did. Her wolf stood guard outside making sure nothing would get in and it would be able to alert her of others coming their way. Lin was sure that the Dragon could smell the blood still in their land and she was sure they didn't like it much either.
She finally reached the mother of the baby dragon as it stopped chattering at her. The mother looked at her and it seemed as if she was smiling down at her. "Come to ask what we know have you my dear." "If there is anything that you can tell me Ma'am." "I believe you have figured out what is going on. But we did not kill the Prince...not in the ways that others think. To messy a death for us. "So I thought. Thank you ma'am." "Take heed in the riddles of the sphinx my dear and always trust your judgement." Linley nodded and headed back out to the front. It didn't take her long to reach the side of her wolf who looked up as she stroked his head.
"A change is in the wind my dear friend." She took a deep breath and headed around finding the spot that the Prince had died. Information she had gotten from various other source and looked around.
