A lone figure on a white wolf made its way down the roads. There was hardly anyone on the road at this time of the morning. The figure looked about as if searching for something. The wolf seemed preoccupied with smells and other things. "Dare be cautious I don't like the feelings around here." "I know..." A low growl came out of the wolf's mouth and rider jumped off. They stood there on high alert for a couple of minutes before they continued walking next to each other and keeping close watch on the area around them. The wolf was the first to move to defend its master. "duck" The figure ducked and in a matter of minutes the bandits that were attack were dead and the pair were on their way again.
As the sun began to rise they crossed into the capital city of Pallis. The wolf all but nearly vanished knowing it would come when it was called. The figure continued to walked through finally putting down the hood of its cloak. Longish blonde hair dropped almost perfectly down the back and shoulders. The young girl averted her eyes from the harshness of the rising sun. She kept to the shadows and moved her way around the city. She knew where she was going and who she had to wait for. She was not to happy that they were having this meeting in the captial city. As a matter of fact she was a little angry at the moment from the lack of peaceful sleep that she hadn't been getting. She hated being in the capital. She was a wild soul and not meant for the life of city dwelling. Of course she'd probably give anything up for a man that fell in love with her. Then again she wasn't so sure about that in the first place.
It didn't take her long to find the person she was looking for. She walked up to him with an air of dignity. The man looked at her for a long moment. They both looked slightly out of place but there seemed to be a slight resemblence between the two and it had nothing to do with their garb. One was in his full military splender and the only thing that noted her military affiliation was the scab that her sword went into. Otherwise she looked like any wandering traveler. She was a beautiful site to behold though. "Miss Parvel, your mission has changed slightly. I will join you when I can." "Understood Commander. Bring the item back here safely. I must return if I'm to do that." "Yes Linley but becareful and trust no one." "Understood." A short nod with little to no more conversation was all that happened between the two before Linley returned her hood to her head and walked back out towards the roads. She had many things running in her mind but her duty was all that she would live for.

(______________________________________________)i am as pretty as a night wing flowerthat dances upon the lily pads in a winter shower and we both share our lust for more power(______________________________________________) The gentle sounds of the air pushing the leaves around whistled within Ginger's ears as she trotted along. Tapping her staff around in front of her, the young woman was clearly blind to anyone paying attention, but she also seemed to know where everyone was without having her staff hit them. Their steps echoed in her ears, and she moved around them with ease, almost as if she still had her sight. It had been ten years since she could remember seeing like everyone else, but now she was just a blind woman that had a gift that she didn't ask for. 'Course, very few knew of her gift since the Queen was not too overly happy when others found out about what Ginger was capable of. So, the Queen has forced Ginger into silence about what she could do, but that really didn't help much since Ginger had a habit of spilling out her prophecies whenever they came around. Luckily, most of her prophecies sounded like the ravings of a mad woman, so that helped the Queen keep her dirty little secrets.
Ginger's red locks bounced around her head with each step she took while her white blouse fluttered against her small frame as the wind snuck in through the holes between the buttons. Her sleeves were rolled up to her elbows, showing off the tattoos upon her right forearm that people often asked her about. After all, her tattoos seemed about as random as she was, but she rarely told anyone the truth about them. One man was lead to believe that her tattoos were given to her by a shaman in order to protect Ginger from dangerous magic while another believes the tattoos are actually living energies that have found a place upon her skin in order to hide. Whether people believe her tales or not doesn't seem to matter to little Ginger as she trotted along with her grey trousers covering her sandaled feet. Dark caramel eyes seemed to stare at out in the distance while freckles danced upon Ginger's pale skin and her rosy lips curled into a gentle smile as she found some familiar voices.
It was Commander Boone and his trusted adviser who always seemed to cling, in a sense, to the commander whenever he was around. At least, this is always the impression Ginger got from the little girl. Stopping in her steps, Ginger made sure she was not in sight of the pair while she just listened to their little conversation. Some reason, Ginger got the impression that the Commander was not really in the mood to be a talk-active soul, almost like he had something more important to do. So, when their conversation came to an end, Ginger instantly decided to bother the other since Ginger was feeling like a talk-active soul and if Commander Boone wouldn't talk to her then Ginger figured his little friend would. Bouncing up to Linley, Ginger gave a gentle smile, "Hail good buddy," she instantly spoke before she paused with her words. Ginger sniffed the air a few times and realized several things about Boone's good friend. First, she was covered in blood, well, perhaps not covered, but it certainly smelled fresh, and there was also the lingering smell of the wilds in this girl's hair. "Ah, not a fellow dweller are we now. Well, this place must be quite crowded for an animal such as yourself. Though, this place often stays the same unlike those wilds. Did you know the trees have been known to move? Yup, they pull their roots right out and walk like any other before replanting themselves in soil they desire most. Maybe that is why so many have been getting lost in the wilds lately," she rambled, almost seeming like she was talking to anyone that would listen, even if she was walking right beside Linley, "Anyways, have you heard about the spilled blood? It is such a romantic tragedy, especially since they are related, well, distantly related, well, very distant, but I don't think they know that yet, so don't tell them I said that," she continued, this time seeming to be talking about something that seemed important, but her vague words made it difficult to figure out who she was actually talking about. So, don't be afraid to get lost here, many probably would.

Linley was one of those people that came into the city got her job done and wanted nothing more than to get out of it once again. She was by no means an advisor to the Commander of the army but she was in all honesty the only one of his shoulders that did not have to completely speak to him like one military professional to another. She was a protector and a mercenary at his bidding should her need her. He always knew how to get ahold of her too and the others of the military knew full well not to question her methods. She was the military secret weapon if anyone actually thought completely about it. Linley knew alot about the royal family and the military family of the Boones. She protected them and in return the commander himself protected her and so did the wild. She was born in the wild and in the wild was where she was most at home.
Usually while in the city Linley would be seen no where else other than Commander Boone's side. There were two reasons for that. One he wanted no one to capture her or for her to be picked up on so to speak. The second reason being because Linley hated the city so much and didn't feel safe within its walls. Not when nature was so close to calling her out and the things within the city always seemed to be screaming to her to take them out. She was only seventeen after all with a huge weight on her shoulders being the go to person for the Commander of the army. She loved every minute of it though even when she wasn't as free to do exactly what she wanted to do. She continued walking down the streets her hood up. She was in a hurry and yet not in a hurry. She looked to her side as she heard a voice.
It took Linley only moments to realize who this person was. She'd seen her before when she had been in the palace. If Linley was honest she didn't like the queen and she knew what Ginger could do. Well sorta mostly that she had a power that was extremely rare. "No not a fellow dweller. I am also no animal." She hated being refered to as an animal. She was a surivialist. Someone a person who could make it on her own in the wild. She knew how to survive were no one was there to help her or people were not around. Being in a place that people frequented really put her in a place of unease. She kept listening to the woman that was standing next to her. "Yes I know the trees move." That was all she had to say about there being people getting lost in the wild these days. Linley could tune the woman out but something told her it would be a good idea to listen to what the woman had to say even if she wasn't exactly making sense.
Linley looked at her oddly for a moment. Spilled blood related? What was the woman trying to say. This was going to bug Linley until she figured it out. She shrugged it off though and put it to the back of her mind. "What brings you out about the city?" She could vaguely remember the woman's name but she was at a loss at the moment trying to sift through all the things that were going through her mind.

(______________________________________________)i am as pretty as a night wing flowerthat dances upon the lily pads in a winter shower and we both share our lust for more power(______________________________________________) A giggle found her lips as Lin claimed she was no animal. It was sad how many people always went around claiming they were above those majestic creatures when in truth, humans were the lowest of all the animals, at least as a group. Ginger always blamed the feelings of humans, that is what made them the worst of all but also the best. Her thoughts began to drift away from animals as Lin spoke of knowing the movement of the trees. That baffled the poor ginger as her brow raised before a giggle came to her lips, "Aw, you are such a cute animal, and you should take that as a compliment. Humans are more corrupt then our noble brothers and sisters. They survive in the name of nature, we survive in the name of ourselves. I know I would prefer to be an animal rather than a human. 'Course, these days it might as well be true and I would never know," she jested with a bright smile. Small talk was something Ginger often said she was good at, but many disagreed with her since they rarely understood what she said. Either way, she had her moments when she truly was good, perhaps this was one of them?
When Lin asked why Ginger was out and about, Ginger stopped in her tracks for a moment and took in a deep breath. That question was far more complicated then what Lin would have thought since there were many reasons for Ginger to be outside of the 'safety' of the castle. She also knew that the moment the Queen found out, all hell would probably break loose. Some reason, the Queen wanted Ginger to stay cooped up in that stuffy old castle, but Ginger was never one for following orders since she was a bit of a free spirit. So, she collected the correct words, to the best of her ability, and began her reply, "Rats hovel themselves in the arms of the dead, waiting for the moment to poke out their head. One rat holds the sight that none should comprehend, and this rat wishes to change the end. If the rat achieves its desires, then all life we know expires." Without knowing it, Ginger spoke a prophecy that has been haunting her nightmares for quite some time. Hopefully, her words were difficult to understand since Ginger rarely enjoyed spouting out prophecies in public since that always made things complicated for her, especially since the Queen always seemed to have little spies all over the place.

Lin was never to sure how to take being called an animal. If it wasn't used in such a derogatory way then maybe she wouldn't say that she wasn't one. In all honest it was truth that she might as well be one in the first place. A wild animal that had yet to find someone who could tame them. Well tame them completely. She liked being able to do what she could and live were most people would get lost. The wilds was her home and even if she had to settle in a city to be with a person she loved the wilds would be a place she would always roam to no matter what. She was a free spirit a wild soul. The natural life around her always called to her. It was the reason why she was a good tracker. The reason why the animals and plants would let her know what was coming before it came. She was observant and in a city well things were just to loud. And the nature cried out to be heard and it seemed that only she could hear its pain and she didn't like that. A city was a prison in her mind. No even if she loved someone from the city she would have to be allowed to venture out. To be in touch with nature.
A hawk flew over head and she looked up. He messenger telling her that it was lurking and would alert her of anything she need be aware of. A small kitten rubbed against her leg and sat down half expecting to be picked up. A small meow escaped its lips just as Lin bent down to pick the small animal up. She cradled it in her arms and one was or another the kitten made its way to laying with its head on her should and the rest of his body laying on her chest on arm to keep him firmly planted where he wouldn't fall. She turned with a smile towards Ginger as she said that her calling her an animal was a compliment. She relaxed only slightly around the Queen's prophet. Of course she was still very much on guard as the Queen had people spying on everyone everywhere even she who did not venture into the society much knew that. If truth be told Lin didn't really like the Queen. Okay so that was and understatement she hated the Queen with a passion.
"Animals know what is needed to survive and rely on the very basic and simple of things. Though live can be complex for an animal because the human mind can not comprehend what our brothern go through." The wilds were a dangerous place and even she could get into trouble if she crossed the wrong path. It was more likely she's cross he wrong path in the city though. Her eyes scanned the area. She stopped when Ginger stopped and waited for the other to start telling her why she was out of the castle in the first place. Lin noted a few people watching them at the moment and then they looked away and went on their merry way. Others were cutting the two a wide path. She didn't much mind that it meant she didn't have to talk to anyone other than the woman next to her. Finally her full attention turned to the other next to her and she started to speak. Lin cocked her head to the side for a moment before mulling over what the other had said.
"I see so you don't like being cooped up either." That was all that she could say. Lin was very sure that she'd just received a prophecy that the other hadn't wanted to make. The second one of the day she was sure. Most people couldn't understand this woman but Lin...Lin was different through observation and thinking in more ways then one she could generally figure out what the other was talking about. It may take her awhile but eventually she figured it out so much so that when certain things started happening she knew in a sense how to combat them. Sure they'd only meant a few times but Lin was a smart young lady and people didn't always give her credit where credit was due. Something was going to change soon and Lin hoped that it would be for the betterment of everyone in their society.

(______________________________________________)i am as pretty as a night wing flowerthat dances upon the lily pads in a winter shower and we both share our lust for more power(______________________________________________) Lin was an interesting character that was more of an animal than an actual human since she had a grasp on life that differed from her fellow man. So, when she began to speak about animals and their lives, Ginger forced herself to listen since she knew that this woman knew what she was talking about where others were just ignorant. How anyone could think like her was simply an amazing fact. A soft smile came to her lips though as she watched while Lin spoke her words and spilled her knowledge out into the world where only one pair of ears was actually listening. Though, for some reason, the moment Lin stopped talking, Ginger found her mind wandering off as she began to wonder what it would be like if she were an animal. She pictured herself as a cougar stalking the jungle in search of prey. Of course, she would also have some pups that she would be taking care of since Ginger always wanted kids, but now things have gotten...complicated. Reality soon struck her though as Lin spoke about Ginger not wanting to be cooped up either. A soft giggle pushed by her lips as she nodded softly, "Suppose so. A home is only one when it is full of those you love, that castle has no one I could love. So, its hard to want to stay in there for very long," she stated truthfully and rather straight forward.
That is about when Ginger began to realize something, the silence around her. It was disturbing and since she could not see anyone (being blind and all) she couldn't tell if it was just people being quite now or if they were literally all gone. Yet, even if people were walking around, something still felt off to the blind prophet. Her eyes instinctively blinked and when they opened, she could see, but not the world Lin knew. No, it was yet another prophecy as the world was something different. It was the city, certainly, but it wasn't the same, at least not how she knew it all those years back. There were fires almost everywhere, buildings half destroyed and bodies filling the streets with their blood and corpses. It was a war zone and Ginger turned to stare at the castle in the middle of the city. There it stood, in perfect condition while the city around it burned to the ground. Ginger's vision focused in as she noticed the Queen standing upon the balcony and someone else standing in front of her, someone Ginger thought she knew or should know. Tilting her head, Ginger was puzzled by this as this figure kissed the Queen and then the entire world went black and the sounds of the city returned. Ginger opened her mouth to speak, but she stopped herself. Her mouth laid open as if she was fighting that urge to spout off yet another prophecy, but with this one, she wasn't quite sure what to say. It was like a little baby still in its young years. So, Ginger held her tongue since she honestly didn't know what that vision was about. All it showed was the Queen's lover and Ginger assumed he would help her destroy the world, but her main question was, who was he?
Ignoring the prophecy, Ginger went back to focusing on Linley as she closed her mouth and just smiled, "Forgive me, I am Hannah, it is a pleasure to meet you. So, you planning on venturing back into the wilds once again? If so, I would simply love to go with you. There seems to be a shift in the balance that requires my presence else where," she informed the woman, "But we must move swiftly, I fear the shadows have swift feet and quick mouths that enjoy spilling the secrets of old." Ginger wanted to leave the city, it was the first time in forever since she felt like this. The only way she could describe it was restless, but even that word didn't do her feeling any justice. Either way, she had an opportunity to leave the city with a guide, so Ginger knew she had to take it. 'Course, the main question once she escaped the city would be where she would go next...

Lin was sure that it was only Ginger listening to her ramble. She was holding the small kitten close to her still as it fell asleep in her arms and she couldn't bear to put it down. She was sure he wolf wouldn't mind and the kitten would learn how to survive outside of the city streets. After all it had been all alone in the first place. The hairs on her neck however were standing on end. Something was watching and her hawk flew over head with its call. She looked around and then looked back at Ginger because she knew the other might know who was following them or anything else of that nature. Lin knew that taking to the Queen's prophet could get her into trouble but she really hated being spied on and this was going to have her a bit upset. The kitten gave off a soft meow and moved just a little bit more to nuzzle against her. She took a deep breath and was snapped back to the matters at hand as soon as Ginger started talking to her again.
A smile game to her lips and a soft giggle escaped them. The Queen's prophet was actually being straight forward with that she said. That alone is what got the small giggle from the other. Then Ginger stopped suddenly so to speak and got a look on her face that made Lin stop at first. Could it be that Ginger was actually having a vision. She waited for a little bit hoping she's come out of it soon. Lin was never to sure what to do when others went vacant like Ginger had. It had scared her when she as a little girl. It didn't scare her now but she still didn't know what to do about it. She took a deep breath and waited. Lin's eyes followed where Ginger turned to look and then Ginger just sort of snapped out of it and opened her mouth but closed it again. Lin made no movement to speech herself. She figured the other had has a vision of the future and that she was by no means going to say anything for one reason or another. She didn't want to know just a little though. Part of her was courious but she would not let that out.
Lin took a step back when she introduced herself as Hannah. Nothing came out of her mouth but Lin could remember that the Queen's Prophet did indeed like to lie about her name and other such things. That and Lin has only met her a few times before anyways. "THe pleasure is mine." She said as the rest of her words finished their way into her ears and her head began to make sense of what was being said. "Then hurry we must." She took the others hand put up her hood and then headed out of town as if she'd not been there at all. No one questioned what was going on but she knew that taking the Queens Prophet out of the city limits was going to be dangerous. Her wolf was waiting at the outskirts and they then vanished or rather so to speak they vanished from site at the main gates. She knew the risk she was taking but she wanted to let the Queen's Prophet know just a small taste of what the outside world in nature was like. The kitten looked at the wolf and jumpped on it sitting on its back. The wolf gave off a another friend i see type of look and they continued walking away from the city.
Lin knew full well that she had a mission to start but she's indulge Ginger for a bit longer. She just hopped that no one was going to cause a big uproar in her neck of the woods because she'd not be happy and nor would the animals be. "Where would you like to go?"
